Day 14-british museum/hop-on bus

Today we decided to walk around the British Museum, then we bought tickets to ride the hop-on hop-off bus. John decide the hop-on hop-off bus was probably one of his favorite experiences of Britain. It really did allow you to see quite a bit of the city and hear all about it. For me it meant I wasn't constantly running to catch up with everyone.

This was very cool.  Through out London there were bicycles to rent.  There were attached to the machines, then you put you money in and could ride it.  It looked like you could return them to any open machine throughout the city.
Having some fun in front of a gift shop in front of the British Museum.  It doesn't show well but I was Paddington Bear.

"Cradle to Grave explores our approach to health in Britain today. The piece incorporates a lifetime supply of prescribed drugs knitted into two lengths of fabric, illustrating the medical stories of one woman and one man."

In my comfort zone-surrounded by books

We saw this while touring London and had to put it up here for our friend James Smith & Son

I think he was making sure the bus driver stayed on the right route.

Pretty architecture

Women's war memorial in the middle of the road

This was carved around a window at eye level on the top story of the bus.  I thought the work was really pretty.
