future jack-o-lanterns

We have a pumpkin plant that has randomly decide to grow in my front flower bed. I am pretty sure that is wash into the flower bed from last year when we cut our pumpkins for halloween. At the beginning of the summer we notice about an 8 in long vine starting to grow. Well that vine is now about 40 feet long with more vines coming out of it in all directions. When I took these pictures about 10 days ago we had one pumpkin that was about 2 inches and growing, the next morning when I checked on it, it was covered in black fuzz and fell off the vine. Oh well. I did learn there are two different kinds of flowers on the pumpkin vine the female flowers have a beginning of a pumpkin at the bottom of them and the males do not (the male flowers only last one day.)

more blankets

I have been making more blankets. These were finally shipped off to Maine this week to our friends that we stayed with this summer. I hope that their three children enjoy them. I know they will keep them warm in Maine.

Tooth fairy

Sage wanted everyone to see she lost another tooth. She is now up 3-4 teeth on Clay. This one was a molar.

cousins

Lydia (and Cristina) were here this week. I was able to enjoy going out to lunch with Cristina one day. The kids were able to get together with Lydia several time including one time at the soccer field.

IceCreamMan Geocaching video

Here is video of my friend Dave, giving an explanation on geocaching. Dave goes by the name of icecreamman (and is our current president of NEFGA) and when I started caching 5 years ago he had just sold his ice cream shop. Previous to that he would put coupon in caches for free ice at his shop. I found 2 coupon not to long after I first started caching and not knowing anyone in NEFGA (Northeast Florida Geocacher Association) or the area, I went to the store to trade them in. The people where nice enough to still take them. I now collect miscellaneous caching item and I wish I had those coupons.

First Coast soccer tournament

Clay soccer season started with a local tournament. We played 3 games over two days. The team was 1-1-1. It was great to be back together on and off the field.
