Good bye Estes to Denver

Finally we drove to Colorado Spring to be near the airport.  This is a picture of the sun setting behind the mountain from our hotel.  Below is Sage with a bear at the b-b-q place across from our hotel.
After touring Denver, we took the kids to Casa Bonita
it is a funky Mexican restaurant.  They have cave divers and
silver mines to walk through.

The Denver Botanic Gardens one of the largest in town gardens.  The were absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed walking around and taking picture of the flower and the kids enjoyed the special area set aside just for children.

We were able to get stand by tickets to the mint and then get in a take a tour.  It was lunch time, so not much was going on inside during our tour

Denver...we arrived after a little altitude adjustment.  We started out by walking around the capital.  I wanted my picture taken on the steps, where it said you where one mile above sea level.

On our way out of Estes park we stopped to try to find a geocache.  John gets out of the car to come help me search.  We are both looking through the rocks.  He yells I think I found it.  So I go over where he is and move a rock over and look.  It is a gold container with a cross on the top with a name and a date.  I look at him and say "I don't think that is it."  So we covered it back up and left.  I turns out the cache had been shut down because of the ashes.  But, it was a beautiful place to stop to take pictures.

After hugs and kisses we said "goodbye" to the Roseman family and headed out for Denver.  Thank you for all the fun we had in the Estes Park area and for staying in their townhouse.
