Sage reading to the bear at the library
Before dinner Aunt Nancy, Sage and I went to check e-mail at the library. Then the whole group of us went out to a local restaurant. In the afternoon we played games at the town house. The picture on the left show the glass piece we made for Uncle Jim and Aunt Nancy (the piece on the left).

Then we tried to see how far up the road we could go before it was close, it was not far. The two pictures below are: where we had to stop because of ice on the Continental Divide and looking down Alluvial Falls.

After the hike to the waterfall we stopped at a short hike to a beaver dam. It turns out that it was also a geocache. I needed to get our picture taken at the end of the walk way. It was colder here then on the hike to the waterfall (see Sage).

We hiked about 3 miles round trip in the snow to Alberta Falls. It was one of the more fun trip, plus we got to see a waterfall! (Just as Brett was taking this picture the wind picked up and blew the snow in our faces.) Thank goodness Aunt Nancy had plenty of extra winter gear for us because I did not pack for snow.

Kadi in the snow

We were never able to cross over the Continental Divide, because we decide not to do it on Monday or Tuesday and you can see what the weather turned in to on Wednesday. The kids got to play/hike in the snow in June. We probably had 1/4 inch stick on the trail. The rental car had the temperature at 32 degree and flashed a message twice at John that the roads could be icy.
