All Around Estes Park

After dinner the kids, John and I did a short flat hike around Sprague Lake.   We saw some duck and fish.  This was our last hike in the park, tomorrow we leave for Denver.

After lunch Aunt Nancy and I took the kids to a park in downtown Estes Park.  I was really cold and windy.  I tried to do a little geocaching, but it was too cold.  We stayed for a short time and headed into downtown to shop for souvenirs and the kids had to get the 7 patches of the hikes they did in RMNP.
                       Crazy weather in RMNP

Here is a view of Estes Park from the Baldpate inn.

Baldpate Inn is a bed and breakfast.  It has a bunch of humming bird feeders outside, it also is famous for the world's largest key collection.  The inn is named after the book Seven Keys to Baldpate.

We hiked over a trail to the side of lily Lake and then around Lily Lake. The snow was spitting at us today.

First thing Thursday morning we went back to the park.  We took Nancy, Jim and Brett to a museum we had been in earlier in the week.  Then we stopped at the welcome to RMNP sign and took a picture of the 7 of us.
