Ms Kadi's Girls' Kamp Wednesday

Today is an easy kamp day to blog about.
Wednesday's schedule:
  1. Crock pot Mac and cheese
  2. Babysitting class ($95)
We started the morning making crock pot mac and cheese. If you are ever looking for a crock pot recipe you should check out Stephanie O'Dea's website A Year of Slow Cooking.

Crock pot mac and cheese
--1/2 pound uncooked macaroni or hearty pasta (we use rigatoni-it was buy one get one this week)
--4 cups of milk
--1 egg
--4 cups shredded cheese (I used mexican blend-it was what was on sale this week)
--1/2 t kosher salt
--1/2 t black pepper
--(instead of the mustard called for in the recipe we add) 1T dried onion and a couple shakes of garlic powder
Spray crock pot well.  Cook on high 1-3 hours (ours took 2 1/2 hours) on high or 3-6 hours on low.

Next the girls took a babysitting class.  Dee Dee and Brian came to my house and did a course on babysitting, first aid, CPR-be sure to check out their site jaxfrt.com.
