Day two of kamp:
- Sewing shirts
- Button bracelets/bookmarks
- Pizza (make dough)
- Make Gram crackers and
- peanut butter
We started the morning off making
button bracelets. The cord was a bit think for the buttons. Some girls (and one boy) really enjoyed this project, while others where frustrated by the cord. The group ended up making bracelets, anklets and bookmarks.
A big THANKS goes out to my friend Linda for coming over with a second sewing machine and spending 2 days with the eight girls making shirts. I am so thankful for friends that are willing to share crafts that they are more knowledgable then I am with the girls.
While Linda and her daughter Hannah were sewing with 2 of the girls, I took the other 5 in the kitchen to make pizza. We made the
dough from scratch. Making the dough probably took less the 30 minutes (including proofing the yeast). We all agreed it was the best pizza we had eaten.

The other cooking project today was home made
peanut butter and
gram crackers. Sage loves gram crackers so she picked this project. The dough seemed too squishy to roll-so we dropped them and pressed them with a fork. I wouldn't say they tasted just like gram crackers, but they had a nice honey/molasses flavor to them. The peanut butter was just straight peanuts in the food processor-the link above explains the different phases peanut go through to make it into peanut butter.
