Archaeologic dig party

The day of Sage's party as the girls arrived they were given pieces of paper with dinosaurs glued on them and some stickers. They were to decorate their dinosaurs.

Then the next step was to dig through one of two tubs to find all the pieces to find your dinosaur. Each girl was given a plastic bag with a picture of what the foam dinosaur should looked like when they find all the piece and put it together and how many pieces they should have when they are done. The night before my mom and I tried to take all the blue ones and green one and color on them with silver and gold maker to make them have stripes and circles so the girls could tell them apart (well maybe). The girls (and a couple brothers) had a blast. There is definitely some foam in the woods were we dumped the sand after the party, but we all combed the sand pretty throughly.

After find all their pieces (ok most of their pieces). The girls and an adult or big brother attempted to put the dinosaurs together.

Some did completely the dig and found a whole dinosaur:

Then present opening:

While we were doing the dig, Kay-Kay was working in the kitchen to be ready for the hungery archeologists. We served them dinosaur chicken nuggets, dinosaur nests (flat pretzels, kisses melted with white m and m's on the top) and dinosaur gummies.
This was followed by the dinosaur dig cake.

Finally we ended with pin the nose on the triceritops
