I decided to throw myself a birthday party this year, so I asked the ladies I walk with from Clay's soccer team if they would like to come to our house for dinner. Lucky for me our group is cultural diverse leading me to ask for a potluck birthday. I ask for specific food items from each person. The party included everyone's whole family. We had cheese and Italian dressing appetizer that I asked my friend Christine (American) to make, Atsuko (Japan) brought sushi (several kinds-yum), Dola (India) brought rice with dried fruit and nuts in it-this is Sage's favorite and beans-this was Clay's request. Ana Lia (Argentina) by my request brought empanadas (meat filled individual pockets) and flan and Adisa (Bosnian) brought a birthday cake made by Russian lady and a potato salad and these really yummy cheese rolls from their store. I made white chicken chili soup and zuppa tuscana.

After we were done eating Dola brought her saree's over with her and all the women went back to my bedroom and pick a color for Dola to help us to put on.
