The week of July 13-18, I took off with both kids and both grandmas heading to Pensacola. Our goal was to see whatever we find along I-10 and eventually end up at my Uncle Gardette and Aunt Marge. We saw all kinds of "Florida" sites and even did a few caches.
Our first stop was White Springs (link). It had one of the best visitor centers I have ever been in for Florida. Then we walked around the spring area. The town had been a resort town at one time, it has now fallen in disrepair.

But, the main reason we were in the area was to see the
Stephen Foster (link) cultural center. It has dioramas and a carillon (bell tower).
We had a picnic while the carillon played Foster music for us.
Geocaching in the woods.
Dipping their feet in the Suwannee River. The Suwannee River is very brown with tanic acid.
A chicky-Indian house. Doing the chicken dance...
We end our day in Tallahassee. Eating dinner with some of John's relatives and swimming the hotel pool.
