Easter egg hunt

From nov babies #3

The Easter Egg hunt at my parent's house is a really big deal.  It happens on Saturday, because everyone can be there.  For years my dad has "corresponded" with the Easter bunny on exactly how he wants it done. There a zone in the yard for each person and you are to look for your eggs only in that zone ( you are assigned your zone before you hunt). In your zone are real eggs and plastic eggs. You can only bring back one egg at a time to "Egg Central". For many years when you found a plastic egg there was a number inside with that went with a corresponding poem-that the Easter bunny helper has. The poem gives you a hint to where a present is hidden in the house; it could go something a like this: Rose are red, carnations are pink, your present is hidden under the master bathroom _____. Then you go and find your Easter present. After finding your present you go back out to find another egg. We have tried different variations on the plastic eggs, a couple years ago we had to do math problems and then mom gave a present off the table. This year each "zone" had 6 plastic egg with different color related to the trivial pursuit board. We were asked question depending on what color plastic egg we brought in. Last year my dad was in the hospital a couple of week before Easter with serious appendicitis, the Easter bunny dropped off an Easter bunny outfit for him to help him feel better. I don't know who has more fun, my kid, the adults, or my dad.
