Florida Geocac Benchmark Project

Some friends of mine in St. Augustine were able to hide a special kind of cache.  It is called the Florida Geocac Benchmark Project (link).  There is only one geocac allow per state.  (A GEOCAC is the official agency code for Geocachers who report their benchmark recoveries to the National Geodetic Survey.  Basically it is a benchmark with the geocaching symbol on the top.)  I have been wanting to get to St. Augustine and grab this cache and as we pulled up at the visitors center to ride the trollies on the 4th grade field trip, I realized from looking at some picture on the cache page, that the cache was right there.   I had to wait for lunch to find it.  I walked over to the geocac/benchmark and took pictures (the requirements for logging the cache).  Then went inside the visitors center (which is where the actual cache is housed).  There is a nice lady inside behind the counter that keeps the cache safe and hands it over to you when you ask.  Because of time constraints of the field trip I did not have the time I would have like to go through and look at all the travel bugs and items for trade in the cache.
