Happy New Years #1
Happy 2012!
We hope everyone had a great 2011.
We hope everyone had a great 2011.
We rang in 2011 with my family:
Once school started in January I (Kadi) went back in the classroom as a substitute teacher. Most of the jobs I have picked up have been in 5th grade including Sage’s class and at the high school in the autistic class. I forgot how much I love being in the classroom but more so love being able to pick and choose days I work as a sub.
The first half of the year consisted mostly of travel soccer with both kids.
In February we made a trip to Atlanta for Cristina's 40th birthday party:
In March we spent spring break in the mountains of GA. Making a stop to see Paul, Crisitina, and Lydia; then on to the mountains with Kevin, Nicole and Cooper. While there Kev and Cola got in engaged (wedding in April 2012).
April brought us to Kay-Kay and Opa’s to celebrate Easter. We had 3 extra kids this year that were stay with us while their parents were traveling.

Happy New Years #2
June Kadi and Sage went on a weekend camping trip with soccer friends while John and Clay went to Tampa to watch the US soccer team play.

July John hit the big 4-O:

July also the kids did Orlando summer camps-staying with Kay-Kay and Opa’s house. Clay enjoyed another year of Orlando Magic basketball camp while Sage went to SPCA camp helping take care of the animals. And Kadi got to go with Cooper on his first trip to Sea World and buy him a shamu ice cream bar.

Sadly at the end of July Pemberton, who had been with us for 17 years past away:

August 1st John started a new job with RailAmerica(link). His description of the company is if CSX is the highway they are the on/off ramps (the company owns short line trains/tracks).
At the end of August Clay started 7th grade at Darnell Cookman Medical Magnent and Sage is in her finally year of elementary school (5th grade). The beginning of the school year started travel soccer for Clay again, Sage chose to do girls on the run instead thru her school (running a 5k in December).

In October John and I made a quick trip to St. Augustine enjoying some time to wander the city and relax.

November the busiest month for our family starting the last day of October with Halloween, followed by Clay turning 13, Sage turning 11 and then me turning 41. In that time we had Halloween parties, birthday parties, multiple field trips (including a 3 night science field trip Clay and I did to St. Simon’s island), soccer and a camping trip for my b’day, followed by a trip to Sarasota for Thanksgiving.
