Carnival Dream Day 5-Belize

Day 5 brought a day in Belize City, Belize. We took the ferry boat into the shopping area and walked around. After figuring out that we could not find the shop we remembered being there from 5 years ago, we did find a really cool shop that sold woven items. Becky, James, and I bought several pillow shams and table runners.

Riding the ferry boat
Look at all the ships ferrying into Belize for the day!

Caching in Belize!!!
back on ship doing the usual thing.
This is the way the weather looked most of the day. It was nasty and rainy. As a matter of fact the ride back on the ferry boats was a little scary. But that day ended with a nice rainbow.

Carnival Dream Day 4-Rotan

Day 4 the ship stopped in Rotan, Honduras. This was my favorite stop on the cruise. The island was beautiful. We rented a car and drove around the island. We stopped and hiked through a botanical garden, then stopped so I could get a picture at the butterfly garden (it is a virtual cache), and then the kids and I went to the private beach area walking distance from the ship.

Pictures from our balcony of the sunrise, in the distance you can see islands in the clouds.
coming into port, there were several other ships in this day. we were in the new port.

while driving around we found a botanical garden. definitely worth the stop.

John and the kids, and I hiked to the top of the mountain, while James and Becky walked around the gardens.

Views from the top

Honduras virtual cache...at least I got one in Honduras now!
driving around the island, it was beautiful. I think this was the zoo.
Back in the shopping area by the ship.

Over by the private beach, we walked. Sage really wanted to ride the ski lift, but it was $5 a person.
I want to going kayaking in these clear bottom kayaks one day.
The kids snorkeling. These 3-4 inch long fish kept chasing the kids around in the water.

Us riding the turtles in front of the bar area.

Just as we were getting out we started finding all these starfish like the one below along the waters edge. My camera battery was dieing so I was lucky to finally get a picture.

Carnival Dream Day 3-Cozumel

Day 3 we were in Cozumel. We decided to rent a car and see the rest of the island, as we had always walked the shopping area and never seen any other part of the island. The island was quite rugged and mostly uninhabited. We enjoyed driving the island and then we walked around a Mayan ruin area. Also, the group stopped so I could run up to Coconuts bar and do a cache located at the top of the hill over looking the water.

The crazy door that opened between our balconies, but block the view of the water from our room. There was also no way to lock it back up between our rooms only to the edge of the boat, without the room stewarts special key.
Cozumel, Mexico

Our ships bigger then your ship!!!!
Going for a ride
Just right!
Just right!
We never did find the way to the lighthouse...

I liked this sign and made John stop so I could have a picture.
