Sadly the trip is over and today was all travel. We had 3 flights to catch--the one through Toronto was the craziest (story below). We woke our last morning in Paris, finished packing our bags so they could be checked through the airport. Then we walked 3/4 a mile to the Gare du Nord metro station to catch a RER train to Charles de Gaulle airport. We had 12 hours of air travel and 3 hours of ground time. All I can say about 12 hours of flight time is that we were very lucky that all the flights we were on had the seat back TV's. I have seen more then my share of movie and "new to me" TV shows. My favorite was a movie called
Stella on Holiday (Stella í orlofi) it was in Icelandic with English sub titles. In researching it on-line it was in theater in 1986, it was excessively cheesy but I figured how often will you be able to watch a movie in Icelandic with sub titles. We got in to my mom and dad's house very late and gobbled our Chik-fil-a they had picked up and kept hot in the oven for us. Sunday morning we packed up our car and head back to Jacksonville.
This PB was bought on the 1st day of the trip and less then 1/4 of the jar was left when we tossed it in Paris. We laughed about the Icelandic PB that traveled with us.
Clay sold all our left over metro ticket in front of the metro stop next to our hotel. he made back about 1/2 our money.

West Jet from Toronto to Orlando-Ok so we did not have any real problems with any of our flight, but we only have 1 1/2 hour in Toronto to deal with a whole lot of issues. First our plane out of Reykjavik was slightly late leaving. Next we were in the very back of the plane and once we landed in Toronto they could not get the arm to meet up with the door correctly. We were finally off the plane with our Canadian customs form. We headed to Canadian customs-where a very nice man helped us fix our form. After leaving him we headed down a long hall, where another man stopped us and did a random bomb swab of John's hands, pants and shoes (where we have to wait to be cleared for that). This lead us to another room where we had to collect our luggage and clear Canadian customs with our form. Now with our luggage we headed upstairs to the WestJet (domestic) check in. The women there looked at our bag and told us to keep going down the hall way to US customs. At US customs we have to scribble our information, hand it over and head to another room where we dropped our luggage again and ran to our terminal (at the complete end of the hall). Lucky for us the plane was 10-15 minute behind schedule and they had not started boarding. I quick logged into wifi and sent my mom a message we were in line and would make it to Orlando. She asked if we were hungry and we said yes and begged mom and dad to run out and pick us up Chik-fil-a. Which my mom kindly kept warm in her oven until we got there several hours latter.
