Halter's in town

John best friend from high school and college came into town this week.  I met up with them at the zoo, John met up with Jeff at 7 Bridges and we had dinner with them one night.  At dinner the kids all got along really well and had a great time together.

Geocaching in Town

I got to meet up with a friend of mine today and cache. She is getting ready to move to NC, so we decided to hit a bunch of caches in towards town that she and I both had never done.  We probably walk 3-4 miles around the boardwalk on the St. John's and then back on the sidewalk. Then we ate lunch at European St. Yum!

View of downtown from across the river.  We were also doing a cache and pretending to take pictures.

Melbourne Tournament Day 2

Sage and I started Sunday off by dropping John and Clay at the fields and going geocaching. We were 1/5, not very good.

Just before the game started today I heard my name called from the other side of the field and Gerrit informed us he did not have his coaches pass on him. He left to go to the other side line. So I was left with 18 eyes looking at me. I stood there for about 30 seconds before I thought out loud that John has a coaches pass and he should be over on the side lines. He came over to the bench and Gerrit coaches from the parent side line (and I went back to my seat).

Clay play in goal a short period of time this game. The team we played today was REALLY good. We put our injured player in goal (he has a leg injury) and then Clay was able to go on the field to sub someone out.

Birthday dinner in Melbourne

Alex had his birthday on Friday while we were on Melbourne, so everyone on the team minus one went out on Saturday for his birthday.

Out team has a great group of siblings

I really am a soccer mom! I love my team. We have a great group of parents to hang out with. But, also we have a great group of brothers and sisters that endure games and trips, practices, and other soccer obligations.

Melbourne Tournament Day 1

Another weekend, another tournament. This weekend we went to Melbourne for a tournament. The boys played 3 games and lost all three again. They are playing up in the U11 age group, plus we were short players this weekend. We play 8 boys on the field and we had 9 kids at the fields, but 1 was injured.

The first game Clay played in goal the whole time. The final score was 0-4.

Clay played in goal the whole time for the 2nd game also. We lost 0-4. Clay did a great job in goal today, we could have lost a worse.
