Double Trouble

Tonight we went to the fall festival at our church.  It is a lot of fun.  We bought the b-b-q dinner and then walked around all the booths.  Sage and I volunteer at the preschool station for awhile.

We were supposed to be in Tampa again this weekend for another tournament.  Clay and his friend Noah volunteered to be back ups on the white team, because they were missing a couple of their players for the weekend.  But, as the date got closer all the players decided to show up, so we did not go.

So, the kids and I were off school today and Clay called Noah's mom and asked if Noah could spend the night.  Noah got here around dinner time and we took him to the festival with us.  I think he and Clay had a great time.  Clay managed to hit the correct spot at the dunking booth and sunk one of the church people and both boys won cakes in the cake walk.  All 3 children brought home more candy then we need in the house already. I didn't take my camera so I don't have any good shots at the festival.

Topaz

We still have the baby kitty-Topaz. I have taken her to the vet twice to get her shots. I am making her appt. this week to be taken care of, so there are no babies. The vet said he thought she was around 7 months old, so we have given her 2/14/08 as her birthday. She is becoming very spoiled in our house, but Pemberton (our OLD-14+ cat) is frustrated with her. My kids say she chases Pemberton trying to get his tail.

Bragg's Buddies

Today the kids and I walked a 5K for breast cancer. My director at the preschool passed away over a year and a half ago from breast cancer. It was really hard for me to deal with. At school I know I did not show a lot of emotion, but a home a night I would cry in front of my computer all by myself trying to understand, she had 3 boys at the time going into kindergarten, 4th and 6th grade. This last year my mother in law lost her best friend to breast cancer also (it had turned into bone cancer in the end).  As I sit here the song One Moment More, just came up on my ipod-it was given to me by Janice--one of Christina's best friend's, it does make you wonder about why things happen sometimes.  If you have a chance I put the video of the song at the bottom of this post.

Ok, I found the One Moment More video by Mindy Smith.  The video is not that great, but the song is awesome.

I just found an article that says that Mindy Smith dedicated the song One Moment More to her mom when she died of breast cancer.

FSU Friends

Last night we drove over to Orange Park and ate dinner at the Loop with Dan, Kim and Dory.  John and I went to FSU with all of them and John went high school with Dan.  They were in town selling at an arts and crafts show.

Sage's YouTube pick (Vivaldi)

I was watching a YouTube video tonight on how to put a YouTube video on a blog, so Sage and I thought we would try it out. She loves Vivaldi, so we picked this one to start. Plus it will get us in the mood for FALL:
